Real Vampiric Abilities
The memory advantage that vampires have is their uncanny ability to spontaneously recall past-life memories. What this means is that within a single lifetime a vampire may have the knowledge and experience gained from dozens of other lifetimes, giving her an extraordinary number of memories to call upon to solve modern problems. This is likely where the relatively modern myth of vampiric immortality originates. The Sidhe and the Strigoi Vii are never talked about in the old legends as living forever, nor even is Bram Stoker's Dracula explicitly described as physically everlasting. It was the belief that these creatures could reincarnate, with all of their previous memories and powers intact, that gave rise to the immortality of Bela Lugosi's portrayal of the count.
