Good Enough

The job of a writer is to edit their work. I know it’s silly, but it’s true. There’s a saying that goes a little something like, “write, read and re-write,” and then you do the last two over and over again. It’s  just the job of the writer to re-write their work to almost perfection. But there is a downside to being a perfectionist. We never think that anything is finished, and in our eyes, our best still isn’t good enough.

So now, I have this thing that I say to myself. I say that it’s “good enough.” And if it’s good enough, it’s just that. Good. Period. End of story. Otherwise, I would never get anything done, and that would just be awful.

Well, that’s it for now.
