The Daily Dose
This morning I went out to see a dead kitty on our sidewalk, and I was furious. First of all, the poor thing was run over and just placed there, and second, it was right next to the house with the two very little girls in it. So I called the Feral Cat
society, who gave me the number for animal control.
Well, when I called, I just got a machine. I left a message, but no one got back to me. So I decided to call the City building to get another number. As it turns out, we don't have an
animal control in our area, so I called the number I was given again, and finally got something on the phone (on the third try). The woman who answered told me that the animal control person was out on a emergency call, so I would have to wait. I promptly
gave her the location of the cat, and told her that they should pick it up before the little girls came home from school.
The best part is, they did, and I'm find of
proud of myself for saving those little girls the tragedy of seeing their first dead kitten. That was my good deed for today.
