An Oregon community found the most beautiful way to respond to the Westboro Baptist Church's plan to picket the funeral of an American hero.

Army Ranger Cody James Patterson of Philomath was killed preventing a suicide bombing in Afghanistan, so when two students, Matt Enloe and Lexie Lynn Merrill, of Oregon State University learned that WBC was going to protest, they decided to organize a counter protest through Facebook, and over 2,500 people showed up to support the fallen hero.

That was enough to scare the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) protesters away, and they never showed up. (Link to the video is below.)

It just goes to show that when an injustice is about to be done, people can ban together and stop it in its tracks.
